I have a fairly active travel schedule especially when I have recently published books to promote! I try to hit the major national beer and brewing events, as well as local/regional events within reach of my home base in Chicago. August 26–27: Siebel Professional Beer Styles & Tasting, Chicago, IL
A two-day boot camp for beer professionals
September 4–5: Cerveza Mexico, Mexico City
Presenting a talk about brewing radically, and finding a voice that suits you and your culture. Also will be pouring beer Saturday in the festival for 5 Rabbit Cerveceria.
September 23. 6 pm: Grist Brewing, Highland Ranch, CO
A part of the Douglas County Libraries Beer Tour, I'll be speaking on the art and science of Tasting Beer, giving some insights into the spooky world of the brain's sensory system and laying out the basics of beer flavor vocabulary, as well as presenting proper technique for tasting.
September 24–26: Great American Beer Festival, Denver, CO
Signing books during all four sessions (check the sign at the Brewers Publications bookstore for times) and pouring for 5 Rabbit Cerveceria and Forbidden Root Botanic Beer
September 24: KROC Event at GABF, the World Brewers Forum (WBF), Denver, CO
Speaking at 9:30 pm at this long-running homebrewing event at the Marriott hotel in Downtown Denver. Topic will be: (Almost) Everything You Know About Belgian Beer History is Wrong.
September 30–October 2, Ohio/Cincinnati
